The Silves Municipal Swimming Pool Complex (CPMS) will celebrate its 15th anniversary between May 21st and June 8th with a program of activities ranging from the presentation of new modalities to the collection of toys for social and charitable purposes.

The program starts from May 21st to 25th, with the “Summer Fest Week – Open Day Fitness”, which will consist of an open day of activities for all those who want to participate (users not registered in the fitness classes).

The proposed challenge is to participate in group classes of Aquatic and Terrestrial Fitness (Senior Hydro, Hydro Gymnastics, Hydro Deep, Hydro Bike and Hydro Dance, Functional Training, Zumba Gold, Dance Mix, Postural Training, Workout, Pump, HIIT, 3B +ABS, Localizada, Yoga and Mind & Body), «with the objective of promoting the practice of physical activity, socialization and the well-being of all participants», explains Câmara de Silves. Participation is free, but subject to prior registration at the CPMS reception.

A collection of children's toys and books will take place from May 28th to June 2nd, between 7:30 am and 21:30 pm. The objects collected are intended for needy children, identified by the Municipality of Silves Social Action services.

On the 28th of May, the World Day of Play is celebrated and the Municipality of Silves, in partnership with the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth of Silves (CPCJ) and Zoomarine, will take children from pre-school and first grade cycle, as well as a group of seniors who attend the Lifelong Education Poles, free of charge, at Zoomarine.

On the same day, a “Parkour em Familia” workshop is scheduled at the skate park next to CPMS. Enrollments must be made in advance at the CPMS reception.

3rd Aquathlo de Silves is the highlight of May 30th. The tests/demonstrations of this modality will take place between 17:00 and 19:00.

The 1st of June “will be a full day”, with the presence of inflatables in the outer space of the CPMS, as it marks the World Children's Day and the 15th anniversary of the CPMS. The inflatables will be available between 17:00 pm and 19:30 pm, and this action will be promoted by the Fora d'Água service.

Between 17:45 and 18:15, the birthday cake is cut followed, until 19:00, by the presentation of the new modality, AquaFow.

The Swimming School Festival (10:00-12:00) and the Swimming Schools Tournament (14:00-17:00) are the highlights of the 2nd of June.

The program will close with the Festival PAMA's – 1st Cycle, which will take place from June 5th to 8th, between 10:30 and 11:30.
