Works by the Algarve photographer Filipe da Palma are showing an Algarve “Beyond the white” in the windows of the city of Faro. The exhibition will be on display in the Algarve capital until the end of May and will move, in June, to Portimão, the author's birthplace.

This initiative of the Center Europe Direct Algarve of the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve serves to mark two major European celebrations: the European Year of Cultural Heritage and Europe Day, which was celebrated on 9 May.

In this exhibition, Filipe da Palma takes the public «to visit an Algarve that goes beyond the sun and the beach, but which still owes a whole different color “beyond white” to that intense light, which is also yellow and blue». according to the Europe Direct Algarve Centre.

Initially, the photographs were exhibited in stores Casa verde, Stoneplay, Óptica lucia, Burda, Lanidor, Palloram, Via Valadim, SM, António Manuel, Actual, Aldy's, Mini-Mundo, Alagoa, Harune, Flow, and Bichinho-de -account.

At this time and until Thursday, the 17 panels that make up the exhibition can be seen at the António Manuel establishment, on Rua de Santo António, in Baixa farense.

"In addition to pursuing its mission, the European Information Center thus also contributes to highlighting the role of traditional commerce in preserving the heritage, culture and identity of the historic centers of our cities", concluded the center based at the CCDR. do Algarve, which launched the initiative with the support of ACRAL – Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve Region.
