Suisse Nautik, a company led by Markus Brandley, spent a year and a half looking for a place in Europe with the ideal conditions to install an international sailing training center. He ended up finding him in Portimão.

The company, with immense success in Miami and Nassau, enables its clients, through the practice of sailing, to strengthen teams, promote personal development and develop actions of coaching specialized.

Those responsible for Suisse Nautik found the ideal conditions for this project in Portimão, through the city's Clube Naval, "all that remains to be done are certain logistical aspects so that the first week of the program can begin at the end of October", he stresses. the CNP.

Although the project is based on the «STAR» class, a vessel used in 13 Olympics, the target audience is not limited to sailors. «The conditions are being created to involve family members in activities as vast as golf, skydiving or gastronomy», adds the CNP.

Each group will bring together an estimated number of 100 people, for stays of one week, and the project will take place between mid-October and mid-December, a time of year when hotel occupancy is traditionally low.

The CNP considers this project as «a unique opportunity for the internationalization of its future Centro de Mar and as a dynamic element in the attraction and empowerment of young local sailors», in addition to being «a source of alternative and complementary income to the exploitation of equipment under its jurisdiction'.

At the same time, «it allows it to fulfill the role it has been playing with the city and the region, using the sea as a vehicle for promoting the Algarve in general and Cidade do Arade in particular».
