The Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal returns to the Espaço Multiusos in Albufeira from tomorrow, Friday, until Monday, April 30th. The 10th edition of this event will bring around 120 certified national producers to this Algarve city, who will be able to taste more than a thousand wines.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch gastronomic demonstrations, decanting bottles by fire, and tasting cheeses, sausages and regional sweets.
At the event, organized by the Confraria Bacchus de Albufeira in partnership with the Câmara Albufeirense, there will also be no lack of music. On Saturday, at 17:30 pm, the Grupo Coral Casa do Alentejo performs in Albufeira. On Sunday, at the same time, it will be the turn of the Grupo de Singing Confraria Medronho “Os Monchiqueiros” to take the stage.
The exhibition opens tomorrow, at 15 pm, with a ceremony that will be attended by the Secretary of State for Forests and Rural Development Miguel Freitas.
The first day of this event ends with a welcome and prize-giving dinner for the best participating wines, who will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, as well as Honorable Mentions. «On the remaining days of the event, visitors will be able to taste the awarded wines, which will be properly identified», according to the City Council of Albufeira.
The Great Wine Show will be open to the public between 15:00 pm and 21:00 pm, on the 27th, 28th and 29th of April (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), and from 15:00 pm to 20:00 pm on the last day, April 30th, Monday .
