The Secretary of State for Infrastructure will be at Tavira City Hall tomorrow, the 23rd, to present to the Algarve Intermunicipal Community (AMAL) «the programs for the emergency and structural works of the EN125 between Olhão and Vila Real de Santo António» .
The visit to the Algarve of Secretary of State Guilherme W. d'Oliveira Martins, scheduled for midday, is motivated by the chorus of criticism, which even already involves PS deputies, about the “calm state” of that section of the national road.
The Government has presented as an excuse for the successive delays in the start of the works, alleged delays by the Court of Auditors, but how the Sul Informação reveals today, the issue is quite different.
Tavira is one of the councils affected by the bad state of the EN125, while its mayor is also AMAL's top leader. However, Jorge Botelho was not, nor was he represented, at the gathering «EN125 – O Calvário, o Perigo e o Esquecimento», which took place, on the 16th of April, at the Municipal Library of Villa Real de Santo António, organized by the Library and Jornal do Baixo Guadiana.
