The Vila do Bispo Rally takes place on Saturday and Sunday, on the roads and paths of this municipality. In the race, which counts for the South Rally Championship and Kumho Trophy 2018, 38 teams will participate, 21 of which will have Mitsubishi EVO cars.
The event starts on Saturday night, as usual, with a nightly Super Special that will take place inside the village, between the Municipal Football Field 1º de Maio, the “Homem do Mar” roundabout, the Ribeira do Poço street and the roundabout “Celeiro do Algarve”, starting at 21 pm.
On Sunday, the teams are challenged to win two stretches of dirt, more precisely the Eólicas and Pedralva qualifiers, which are scheduled to start at 10:00 am and 10:45 am, respectively.
The event is organized by the Clube Automóvel do Sul, with the support of the Vila do Bispo City Council.
Areas for the public who want to watch the race:
ZP-1 Leave Vila do Bispo in Raposeira, turn left.
ZP-2-3 – EN 268 after the start of the Special Classification Test (PEC) Eólicas, turn right and you will find the PEC in an area with good visibility.
ZP-4 – In Budens, go to Lagoa da Budens and there are two PECs, one to the left and one to the right.
ZP-5 – In Budens turn to Pedralva you will find a right hook with good visibility.
ZP-6-4-7 – EN 268 to Pedralva then follow in the direction of Budens you will find the PEC de Budens with a hook to the right. If you continue to the right Lagoa de Budens you will find the PEC das Eólicas with spectacular curves.
