The shows “Attraction”, by Compagnie Kham, from France, and “Fiend”, by Casson & Friends, from the United Kingdom, which bring together different arts, will be presented at the Cine-Teatro Louletano on Saturday, April 28th, at 21 pm, within the scope of the “Encontros do DeVIR” festival.

“Attraction” crosses the traditional arts of Southwest Asia (dance, music, masks), work in rice fields, with hip-hop and contemporary dance techniques and graphic images generated in real time by new technologies.

«It's a story, a game of balance between the choreographer and the digital artist, between movement and the visual arts, between the natural and the urban, between tradition and contemporaneity. This creation proposes a journey through an oneiric atmosphere, which is based on a personal search for the origins, the forces that rule the universe and the attractions that command our destinies», describes the Câmara de Loulé.

“Fiend” is a performance in which the performer interacts with real-time video projection. It is inspired by the work “L'après midi d'un faune”, by Nijinsky, “exploring issues related to connection, the way we see and how we are seen”.

This work is the result of a first collaboration between Tim Casson and Tom Butterworth (image technician) and «uses real-time image in an innovative way, to reveal a magical world in which the performer is multiplied. Their actions are shifted in time and presented in new contexts. Fiend is a very human character, who seeks connections in his virtual world».

The ticket for this double session costs 5 euros. The festival “Encontros do DeVIR” is organized by DeVIR/CAPa, with the support of “365Algarve”.
