A total of 37 companies in the Algarve received the SME Leader and SME Excellence status, a quality seal given by IAPMEI and by Turismo de Portugal to companies that most contributed to the competitiveness and development of the national economy, in a ceremony promoted by the Crédito Agrícola.
The ceremony, which took place at Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon, was conducted by Sílvia Alberto.

The event was attended by representatives of the various Caixas de Crédito Agrícola in the country, the chairman of the General and Supervisory Board and the Executive Board of Directors of Crédito Agrícola.
The Crédito Agrícola Group, which over the years has strengthened its support to the Portuguese business fabric – either through the launch of products and services that respond to its needs, or through the creation of initiatives aimed at the development of companies – sees grow the number of SMEs its distinguished customers.
"Between 2016 and 2017, the number of companies with status increased 22% (in 2016, it had 221 awards and in 2017 the number rose to 269), which denotes the care and proximity of the only cooperative bank to its customers", stresses the Agricultural Credit in a press release.
