The concert “Songs of the People and Resistance”, by Afonso Dias and companions, takes place this Tuesday, April 24, at 22 pm, in a tent set up in Jardim Manuel Bivar, in Faro. 

Thus continue the commemorations of the Carnation Revolution, in Faro, which also include a raising of the flags, on the 25th of April, at 9:00 am, in the Paços do Município, followed by the usual solemn commemorative session of the 9th of April at 30:25 am.

This official ceremony will be enhanced with a cultural note, by the artist Afonso Dias.

The celebrations continue at the Municipal Museum of Faro, with the inauguration, at 12:00 pm, of the exhibition of the works resulting from the poster competition alluding to the 25th of April “Um Olhar sobre a Liberdade”, aimed at Basic Education students in the Municipality.

Shows continue during the day in the various rural parishes of the county, with concerts for free admission. At 16 pm, the concert will take place with Luís Galrito ​​and António Hilário, who present “Canções Livres”, at the Parish Council of Santa Bárbara de Nexe.

At the same time, this time at Clube Desportivo de Montenegro, there will be the show “Zé Maria e Gonçalo com Música Popular Portuguesa”.

During the night, at 21 pm, these artists perform again: at Cinema Ossónoba, in Estoi, Luís Galrito ​​and António Hilário take the stage and Casa do Povo da Conceição hosts the show “Zé Maria e Gonçalo with Portuguese Popular Music”.
