The Mayor Conceição Cabrita, and the Captain of the Port of VRSA, Pedro Palma, made a working visit on Tuesday to the coastal areas of the county most affected by the storm that hit the Algarve coast last week. .
In this sequence, adds the municipality, «the two responsible have already met with the General Directorate of Natural Resources, Security and Maritime Services (DGRM) to assess the effects of the storm “Ema” on the quay of the Guadiana River in VRSA, its reconstruction was agreed upon by the DGRM over the next few weeks».
The visit was also intended to investigate the impact of bad weather on the bridge of Monte Gordo and the bar in Cacela Velha.
According to Conceição Cabrita, “there are no people or goods at risk, namely on the bridge of Monte Gordo, where the action of the tides did not affect any structure of the beach, nor the ongoing redevelopment process on the seafront».
