The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel presented the 27th edition of Feira da Serra and launched the tourist-promotional website “Visit São Brás de Alportel” on the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), which took place at the beginning of March.
The carob, the chocolate from the mountain, is then the special guest and inspiring the Feira da Serra de São Brás de Alportel.
In this 27th edition “the environment-friendly characteristics of the carob tree will be made known, as well as the most diversified uses of the carob that are present in the multiple facets of our daily lives, from food additives to the production of ecological biofuel, passing through the tasty sweets and liqueurs , diet products based on this much less caloric “chocolate” and also due to its use in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and even in the tanning of skins and animal feed», explains the Chamber of São Brás.
An edition is awaited in which crafts and gastronomy will once again cross the bridge between tradition and innovation, putting the many thousands of expected visitors to the test in all their senses.
This year, the event is back to four days, just like last year.
To publicize the Feira da Serra, other major events and everything that São Brás de Alportel has to surprise, the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel now has a new door to welcome its visitors: the tourist site “Visit São Brás de Alportel”.
This is, according to the municipality, «a modern, intuitive, easy-to-use website with all the information needed to plan a visit or stay in São Brás de Alportel».
The information is divided into several sectors: "Where to eat", "Where to sleep", "What to visit", "What to do", "Events", "Multimedia" and an agenda with the most important and relevant events taking place in the county.
