The second session of the V edition of the Jornadas de História do Baixo Guadiana will talk about the Mother Church of Nossa Senhora da Encarnação next Friday, March 9th, from 10 am, at the António Rosa Mendes Municipal Historical Archive, in Vila Real of St. Anthony.

This second session will feature, from 11:00 am, with the presentation “The Mother Church of Nossa Senhora da Encarnação”, given by Professor José Eduardo Horta Correia, Professor of Art History, retired from the University of Algarve.

The journey continues at 15 pm, with a visit conducted by the same communicator to the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Encarnação, in Vila Real de Santo António.

The Baixo Guadiana History Journeys are organized by the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António and the António Rosa Mendes Municipal Historical Archive and count, among other speakers, with the collaboration of researchers, university lecturers, heritage technicians, among others.

They are part of the cultural program of the Eurocity of Guadiana, a project that involves the municipalities of VRSA, Castro Marim and Ayamonte (Spain) and has as its mission the cultural sharing on the Guadiana border.
