A 66-year-old man who killed his mother on January 18 last year, in Loulé, was sentenced yesterday, March 20, to 16 years in prison.
The court found that the defendant, a retired finance officer and head of a sports club in Loulé, killed his mother, 93, in the house where they both lived in that city.
This man, armed with an object, struck his mother several times in the head, causing her death.
“Then he cleaned up the traces and laid the victim on the bed, claiming to friends, INEM and the authorities that he had found her already dead,” says the Public Ministry.
