A 45-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday, March 14, suspected of a crime of aggravated theft, in Tavira. 

 

As part of an investigation, carried out by the Tavira section of the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) of Faro, a police operation was carried out in the municipalities of Tavira and Olhão, complying with four house search warrants, one on a commercial establishment and eight on vehicles, as well as an arrest warrant.

The action, which originated in a complaint filed by an elderly man, who had been stolen more than 230 thousand euros, resulted in the seizure of six cars, an LCD, two laptops, two tablets, four mobile phones and four collection coins.

 

14 weapons were also seized, namely, five shotguns, a carbine, three compressed air guns, an alarm pistol, a defense aerosol, a stick and two bladed weapons.

The action was supported by the Criminal Investigation Nucleus of Faro, of the Intervention Detachment of Faro and the Public Security Police.
