A “Ar” drawing exhibition, which is on display at the Municipal Museum of Faro until april 8, will undergo a "turning point" on March 18, at 14:30 pm.
Thierry Simões, one of the artists participating in the exhibition, together with Isabel Baraona and Tiago Batista, will develop, live, the “folding” of his work. According to the Chamber of Faro, this will be «an intimate performance that will mark the beginning of the end of his existence: after being “shrouded”, his work will remain as if in a “burning chamber”».
The Municipality of Faro, through the Municipal Museum, «thus continues its strategic investment in diversifying the cultural offer in the county, with the participation of a renowned artist such as Thierry Simões (Maisons-Laffitte, 1968), who has several participations in exhibitions and drawing projects, individual and collective, in Portugal and abroad», says the municipality.
According to the Chamber, «with this live performance at the Municipal Museum of Faro we will have another moment of promoting the approximation of culture and art to the resident population and those who visit us, thus contributing to the formation of a critical mass that consolidates the role of culture as a unique element in Faro and Algarve society».
The exhibition “Ar” continues the contemporary art cycle “Um Certo Ponto de Vista”, an “Artadentro” project presented within the scope of 365Algarve.
