The Dead Combo are the next guests of another “B Side” section, to take place on May 18, at 21 pm, at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves.

Tó Trips and Pedro Gonçalves, the duo formed in 2003 following the invitation of Antena 3 to compose and record the song “Paredes Ambience”, included in the tribute album to Carlos Paredes “Movimentos Perpétuos”, will go to Silves, in a show where there will be a special highlight for his latest album of originals “Odeon Hotel”, released in April 2017 and which was produced by Alain Johannes, who has already worked with names like Queens of the Stone Age.

The band already has numerous hits in its history: “Lusitânia Playboys” from 2008 was elected album of the decade by the newspaper Expresso; “Bunch of Meninos” was elected by the readers of the prestigious Blitz magazine as the best Portuguese album of 2014.

In May 2015, the band won the “Globo de Ouro” award for the best Portuguese group. In the same year, the duo's music arrived at Holywood, through the inclusion of two of their songs in the film “Focus”, directed by the duo Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, and starring the renowned actor Will Smith.

«Dead Combo only need a guitar and a double bass to clearly travel the Tagus, Lisbon, Portugal, the Mediterranean or the vastness of America and the duo has already gone through countless stages washing their peculiar sound, having passed through three continents ( Europe, America and Asia), with particular emphasis on the Tour held by the United States and Canada», says Câmara de Silves.

Tickets can be purchased from April 11 at the Municipal Museum of Archeology in Silves (282 440 838 | [email protected]) and at the Casa-Museu João de Deus, in SB Messines (282 440 892 | [email protected]).
