The Chamber of Loulé welcomes the victory of Luís Mendonça, cyclist from Louletano/Aviludo/Uli, in the Volta ao Alentejo, achieved this Sunday, 18 March.
«This achievement gains even greater relevance, since Luís Mendonça is the first Portuguese, since 2006, to win this competition in Alentejo», says Câmara de Loulé.
Cycling being the most emblematic modality in the municipality of Loulé, which over the years has given Loulé people a lot of joy, according to municipal officials, it is an immense pleasure to see that the tradition is still very much alive.
The local authority also emphasizes, in a statement, the importance of «sport as a vehicle for promoting the name of Loulé and, in this sense, Louletano Sports Club has had a decisive role».
