A 77-year-old German man died this morning, by drowning, in the swimming pool of his own house, on the Torre site, in Armação de Pêra.
Source of the District Relief Operations Command told the Sul Informação that “an alert was received due to pre-drowning at 8:22 am and, when the rescue teams arrived at the scene, the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest”.
The death was eventually declared on the spot by the INEM doctor.
In the relief operations, in addition to INEM, were the Firefighters of Silves. The GNR was also called to the scene.
