The Share Algarve international conference was «a success» that brought 400 participants, on February 2nd and 3rd, to Anantara Vilamoura Resort.

According to the organization, the event even surpassed “the expectations, both of the organization and of the participants, who traveled from all over the country”.

Organizers Jorge Cabaço and Rita Sampaio, both professionals and trainers in digital marketing, brought 30 speakers to the Algarve during the 2nd and 3rd of February.

Among these «were relevant Algarve businessmen in this area, the country's leading specialists in digital strategies and platforms, and also some renowned international speakers, such as André Laurentino, one of the most awarded Brazilian advertising professionals, coming from the Ogilvy London agency».

Dennis Yu, an internationally renowned Facebook expert, traveled from the United States of America to "close the event with a dynamic and interactive lecture and was particularly impressed by the event."

Several themes were addressed at the conference, such as: influencers, innovation, E-commerce, social networks, conversion, virtual reality, digital transformation, specifically applied to the Tourism, Hotel and Golf industries.

In addition to the lectures, there was also the launch of a new book by Luciano Larrossa, “Facebook for Business” (3rd edition), and several moments of networking, such as the Algarve wine tasting, sponsored by Quinta do Barranco Longo.

For Jorge Cabaço, «the second edition of Share Algarve was a huge success on several levels: the number of participants grew, we had visitors from 14 nationalities, more women, more participation, more exhibitors – it is proof that we are doing something relevant and with a transversal reception, which is not confined to sectors that we traditionally associate with innovation and technology».

"The future is today and companies have realized that if they do not adapt to new ways of communicating and presenting their value propositions, it is their very livelihood that is at stake".

With its eyes set on the future, the organization believes that this conference has the potential to become a reference at a European level, attracting participants and companies to the Algarve that take advantage of digital to boost their businesses. For this reason, and in order to also be accessible by the growing foreign community that resides in the country, Share Algarve was fully presented in English.

As for the next edition, the organizers don't want to reveal too much, but they confess that they have already started planning the Share Algarve 2019.

According to Rita Sampaio, the «fantastic feedback we're getting from the conference is proof that we've managed to create a high-quality, reference event in terms of content and qualified audiences. However, to be able to improve and grow we need to have some institutional support».

«In this edition we had the partnership of Anantara Vilamoura Resort and Vilamoura World, but for the next editions, with the right support, we will be able to reach interesting markets at European level, and attract many visitors at a time of year when seasonality greatly affects our region. We have all the conditions to reach thousands of participants in the coming years», he concluded.
