Portimonense will face Marítimo this Monday, at 19:00, in a game of the 21st round of the I League, in search of points "to consolidate the position".

The words are from Vítor Oliveira, coach of the Algarve, who, at the preview press conference, said that the prospects for the game «are positive».

The recent 4-1 victory against Rio Ave was “very uplifting, not only for the result, but also for the performance”, said the coach.

Still, this game against Marítimo will be «very difficult». Although the Madeiran team is “going through a less good moment, it has a lot of quality”, according to Vítor Oliveira.

At this press conference, the coach of the Algarvians also spoke of a transfer market that "moved a lot with the squad", since, for example, Lumor, Paulinho and Oriol Rosell, three important players in Portimonense, left the team.

In terms of new faces in the squad, Rafa Soares (summoned for the match with Marítimo), André Clovis, Fede Varela, Galeno and Rui Costa. Players, for Vítor Oliveira, "have quality" and, hopes the coach, that they "quickly adapt to the team's principles."

The goalkeeper Ricardo Ferreira has been a regular on the Portimonense squad for four seasons, who also previewed the 21st round clash.

"It's a difficult field and Marítimo is doing a great campaign," he said.
