The song “To smile, I don't need anything”, composed by the Algarvean Júlio Resende and performed by Catarina Miranda, was selected, this Sunday, for the end of the Song Festival, who will select the representative of Portugal at the Eurovision Festival.

In the first semifinal, the composition of Júlio Resende, got 16 points, behind the song “Só por Ela” (22 points), interpreted by Peu Madureira, and with the same score as “(No title)”, interpreted by Janeiro.

In addition to these three songs, they qualified for the final “Pra Te Dar Abrigo”, by Anabela, with 13 points, “Eu Te Amo”, by Beatriz Pessoa, with 11 points, “Anda Estragar-me os Planos”, by Joana Barra Vaz, with 8 points, and “Zero Zero”, by Joana Espadinha, with 7 points.

In the second semifinal, scheduled for the 25th of February, two voices from the Algarve region will be heard on stage: Susana Travassos, who will interpret the song “Mensageira”, composed by Aline Frazão, and Diogo Piçarra, who will present “ Canção do Fim”, a song composed by himself.
