The Colorectal Surgery group of the Portimão Unit of the University Hospital Center of the Algarve (CHUA) will participate in an international multicenter study – the «Imagine» project – focused on the postoperative period of patients undergoing colorectal surgery.
Participation in this study consists of "collecting and sharing data about the patient, the surgery, the surgical approach and the postoperative period in patients undergoing colorectal surgery, in accordance with the criteria established for this project", explains the RAIN.
Data collection takes place from 22 January to 19 March, "not implying any change in procedures", since these "already follow the directives of good international practices".
The “Imagine” project is promoted by EuroSurg, a collaborative network of interns at the European level, with the European Society of Coloproctology and involves centers on five continents.
