The third phase of the paving and drainage work in Bairro do Progresso, in Portimão, has already started and should be ready «in the course of the first quarter of 2018», announced the Municipality of Portimão.
In this intervention, "long demanded by the local population", 195 thousand euros will be invested, which will be used for the "execution of rainwater drainage (new network of rainwater and drains), execution of sidewalks and paving of streets in Ruas da Cisterna, of Villa Romana , from Lagar Romano and part of Rua da Sociedade Columbófila».
The Portimonense autarchy warns that the work will require the excavation of ditches for the installation of rainwater infrastructure, "which will imply some traffic constraints, which will be signaled on the spot, appealing from now to the good understanding of residents and motorists."
