The M80 party and the new project by Dino D'Santiago will liven up New Year's Eve (31 December) in Quarteira (Loulé).
In absolute première, “Sou Quarteira”, by Dino D'Santiago, takes to the stage at Praça do Mar, from 22:30.
The singer from Quarteira, with Cape Verdean roots, is the mentor of the project “which aims to raise young people from this parish who stand out in various areas, in various parts of the world”, explains the Câmara de Loulé.
Dino D'Santiago joins other local musicians on stage – Carol Vieira, Sara Lawrence, Bertílio Santos and Colton Benjamin – in addition to a guest from Lisbon: Bruno Fernandes.
«The repertoire they are going to present intends to make a journey through the main themes of national music, from the beginnings of Portuguese pop-rock, for example the initial themes by Rui Veloso, to the most current sounds, such as Vírgul. This will be a 100% Portuguese show, extolling the voices of Quarteira».
As is tradition, when the twelve strikes to announce the New Year, there will be a fireworks show that will light up the sky of Quarteira and a collective toast to 2018, with champagne and the traditional twelve raisins.
In the new year, the M80 party will liven up a night that will be true memories of this golden decade of music. «DJs António Coimbra and Litos Diaz, from radio station M80, a partner in this event, will animate Quarteira with unforgettable themes that continue to mark the memory of those who lived through one of the times of greatest musical creation».
