Almost 16 water meter readings are checked every month by employees working for Inframoura, Vilamoura Infrastructure Company, in electric vehicles.
There are two electric motorcycles acquired by the municipal company responsible for public infrastructure in Vilamoura, in an investment of more than 11 euros, which made it possible to replace old vehicles that consume fossil fuels.
On average, there are about 60 kilometers traveled each working day by this pair of 100 percent electric vehicles, totaling more than 15 thousand kilometers per year covered by the scooters urban electric utilities, technologically efficient at the service of water metering.
Inframoura considers that this is “a small – but certainly valuable – contribution” to “responsible electric mobility in the territory of Vilamoura and Vila Sol”.
