The Rally Casinos do Algarve, which ended this Saturday, brought speed and adrenaline to the roads of Monchique, Portimão and Lagos. Carlos Vieira (Citroen DS3 R5) was the winner of the race and was also crowned national rally champion.
Carlos Vieira won 10 of the 13 special qualifying races, beating Pedro Meireles (Skoda Fabia R5), who was also fighting for the national title, and finished the rally in fourth place.
The Turkish Yagiz Avci, who was in second place, won the European Rally Trophy, which was also in dispute in the Algarve race. The Czech Vojtech Stajf finished the podium, taking third place.
Among the Algarvians, Ricardo Teodósio won 7th place in the rally, having been the best in the RC2N group. Diogo Gago was 8th and was the best in the RC4 group.
