The World Superbike Championship returns in 2018 to the Algarve International Autodrome, after the this year's success, with the presence of 42 thousand spectators.

The provisional calendar, released by Dorna, on the day the Algarve circuit celebrates another year of existence, marks the return to Portugal of the biggest motorcycling championship taking place in the country, from 14 to 16 September of next year.

The FIM Superbike World Championship, a regular presence since the circuit's inauguration, on November 2, 2008, returns to Portimão with exciting races in the categories of Superbike, Supersport, Superport 300 and SuperStock1000.

«After a year of many achievements, it is with great pride that the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve registers, once again, the return of the most cherished race on the circuit, yet another confirmation of a full calendar of events for 2018», stress the officials through the Algarve circuit.

In nine years of existence, the Autódromo do Algarve «has been adding more and more awards and recognition from major world-renowned brands».

Since 2008, many international championships have chosen the Algarve circuit to stage their world competitions, in around 70 competitions.

In 2017, the Autódromo do Algarve again registered a high occupancy rate, close to 90%, «re-establishing itself as one of the best circuits in the world».

Between national and international competitions, team tests and world presentations, the AIA is «increasingly the first choice of recognized brands, who prefer the Algarve layout and sun for their events».

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve claims to be “in full operation and development, always with the aim of improving and providing everyone who visits it with a unique experience”.

And those responsible for the Algarve track announce: "Many new features are expected in 2018, the year in which the circuit will celebrate its 10th anniversary".
