The group of the Spanish jazz guitarist Ximo Tebar, in a quintet formation with pianist Rafa Redondo, bassist Antonio del Caño, keyboardist and vocalist Will Martz and drummer David León, was responsible for the closing, on 22 October, of the 4th International Guitar Festival of Lagoa.

The concert, considered one of the best of the festival, began with an introduction to the guitar solo with Latin and Spanish sounds, with the theme “Manhã de Carnaval”, followed by an arrangement by Adagio of the “Concerto de Aranjuez”.

The guitar duo introduction of Ximo Tebar and drummer David Leon created a virtuoso musical and energetic duel, which connected with Will Martz's relaxed solo piano performance, playing music by Ennio Morricone as the introduction to a version of “ Take Five”. The audience, which completely filled the Municipal Auditorium of Lagoa, applauded enthusiastically.

The first encore featured an arrangement of “Pink Panther”, which was also very popular with the audience.

But the Valencian jazz guitarist also offered a masterclass, very interactive and participated, on rhythm and control of space in jazz.
