The MTB team Loulé/BPI/Elvis is the big winner, by teams, of the Algarve Cup of XCM (MTB marathons), after having disputed the last stage last Sunday, the 29th of October, in Monchique. In the individual categories, the Loulé team also dominated, winning nine out of 15.

«The “Raid MTB Serra de Monchique '17” turned out to be the toughest of the five races in the Algarve region, with a distance of 61 kilometers and close to 2100+ of accumulated climbs”, says the Loulé BTT team.

In Sunday's race, BTT Loulé saw Rafael Rita (junior), Filipe Francisco (under23), Celina Carpinteiro (women elites), Elisete Sousa (women's master 40), Filipe Salvado (master 40) , António Brissos (master 45), Mário Sebastião (master 50) and Rens Grevenstuk (master 60).

Nelson Candeias (elite) and José Coelho (master 55), from Extrememosul / Hotel Alisios / Cenmais, Ricardo Pereira (master 30), from GD Santa Cruz / Litoralmotors.pt, and Marlene Costa (master 30, female), from BTT Conceição in Faro, won the remaining tests.

In the end, the regional champions were defined: the BTT de Loulé triumphed Raquel Silva (female juniors), Rafael Rita (juniors), Filipe Francisco (under 23), Verónica Fernandes (female elites), Hernâni Silva (elites), Elisete Sousa ( female master 40), Filipe Salvado (master 40), Duarte Palma (master 50) and Rens Grevenstuk (master 60).

These are joined by Adriana Gomes (women's under 23), from Abilio Bikes -TREK/Núcleo Sporting de Vila Real de Santo António, Marlene Costa (women's master 30), from BTT Conceição de Faro, João Rodrigues (master 30), from GD Santa Cruz / Litoralmotors.pt, André Vieira (master 35) and Pedro Marques (master 45), from Extrememosul / Hotel Alisios / Cenmais, and Pedro Brito, from MCF / Xdream / Municipality of São Brás (master 50).
