Ticket sales for the World Superbike Championship race, to be held from Friday, September 15th, to Sunday, the 17th, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA), in Portimão, is surpassing «even the most optimistic expectations».

«The last few days have been marked by a strong demand for accesses for what is the 10th round of the World Championship. With the forecasts of excellent weather conditions, a fantastic human frame is expected in the coming days on the circuit near Portimão», tells the organizers of the event.

«After a year of absence, it is undoubtedly very positive to see that the Portuguese are joining. We made a strong commitment to promoting this event, we created transport conditions in the Algarve, with free buses, we opened the VIP Tower for all who have access to the paddock, we have an exhibition of classic competition and sport motorcycles. Miguel Oliveira will also be among us and will even make some laps of the circuit. There are plenty of arguments for a journey of fantastic races starting tomorrow», comments Paulo Pinheiro, responsible for the AIA.

“Since 2008 we haven't felt such a great demand for tickets for our competition and that makes us naturally very excited”, he adds.

This is the ninth time that the AIA will host a competition of this Superbike World Championship that also includes the Supersport, Supersport 300 and Superstock 1000, the latter with a European championship 'stamp'.
