The Albufeira Municipality Rally takes place from the 9th to the 10th of September, with a nightly “Super Special”, passing through the city centre, on the first day of the race.

Afterwards, the rally moves on to the parishes of Paderne and Ferreiras for two more special classifications. “In all, there will be seven qualifiers with a total of 50 kilometers of special events, in an exciting event organized by the Clube Automóvel do Sul with the support of the Albufeira City Council”, explains the municipality.

This is the third race counting for the Regional Championship of rallies do Sul, which integrates the calendar of the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting.

The competition starts, then, on Saturday, 9th of September, with a nighttime Super Special, at 21 pm, between the crossing of Firefighters in Albufeira and Rotunda dos Relógios, in an extension of 00 kilometers, in the middle of Avenida dos Descobrimentos.

On the 10th, Sunday, there will be two more specials on asphalt, one in Canals and the other in Alcaria, which
will be covered three times each. In Ferreiras, the rally will run at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:50 pm, and in Paderne at 10:30 am, 12:20 pm and 13:00 pm.

The awards ceremony will take place on the podium in front of the City Hall, at 15:00. The tests will restrict traffic on Saturday, on Avenida dos Descobrimentos, between Rotunda dos Relógios and Rotunda do Lidl, from 19pm to 00pm.

The car park in front of the Court will be closed to the public over the weekend to assist participating cars. On Sunday, Rua do Município, between Albufeira Shopping and City Hall, will be closed to traffic between 9:30 am and 10:30 am, and between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.

The Municipality of Albufeira is associated with this important sporting event which «is an excellent vehicle for the municipality's tourism promotion, as well as an important source of income as it attracts thousands of people who share a passion for Rallying», stressed Carlos Silva e Sousa , mayor of Albufeira.
