This week, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Estômbar received a service vehicle, under the Financial Protocol signed with the Municipality of Lagoa, for the current year 2017.
The vehicle now acquired, worth 20 thousand euros, is intended for the transport of people on quick trips and services, being the second in this phase, as, in September 2014, a vehicle had already been delivered - also by Protocol - for the transport of goods for home support.
Upon delivery, Vítor Santos, provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Estômbar, thanked all the support he has received from the City Council and which has now allowed him to purchase another vehicle that will contribute to a better functionality of the services in the permanent assistance to the most needy.
The official also said that he hopes to continue to have the same availability, taking into account the effort that the institution has made in the fight against social exclusion and poverty.
On the other hand, the mayor Francisco Martins – knowing the reality and the daily struggle for the Santa Casa to be what it is, publicly recognized at local and regional level – said that whenever he visits he does it with pleasure. special, for the years spent in your service.
Saying that he is proud to belong to the staff of Santa Casa, in relation to the future Francisco Martins said "at the right time", other support from the municipality will emerge.
