The third edition of “Faro Campus Trail” takes place this Sunday, September 24, from 9:30 am, departing and arriving in front of the library of the University of Algarve Campus de Gambelas, in Faro.
The main objective of this event is «the promotion of sport and rail running in the Algarve», explains the University of Algarve.
The "Faro Campus Trail” consists of two routes: one between 25 kilometers and a mini-trail, or walking, with 10 kilometers. The 25 km route is part of the “Algarve Trail Circuit”.
According to the criteria defined for the tests of between in Portugal, the 25-kilometer course is classified as a t.rail long with a level of difficulty “Level 1”.
As for the minitrail 10 kilometers is a between short with level 1 difficulty.
The route of the race will be done inside the Campus of Gambelas and in the adjacent woods, namely Mata do Pontal and Mata do Ludo.
On the day of the race, free registration will be accepted for the 10-kilometer walk, in accordance with the competition regulations.
This initiative is organized by the University of Algarve and Altimetria Associação Desportiva, in collaboration with the Municipality of Faro and the Sports Office of the Academic Association (AAUAlg).
