João Neto, former European Judo champion, will be the “head of the line” at the 4th Alvor Judo Camp, which will take place between August 31 and September 3, at the Dom João II School Pavilion in Alvor.
In addition to the former judoka and former national coach, who also participated in the Olympic Games in Athens, where he got the 7th place, and in Beijing, Carmen Solana, 11 times Spanish champion and coach from Bilbao, will also participate in the event.
According to UFAD – Judo Alvor, clubs from England, Spain, Portugal, Chile and the Cadets and Juniors from Luxembourg will participate in the event, which is the year with the highest number of participants.
The goal "is to start the sporting season with an event that helps athletes improve performance in an environment of fair play and friendship," adds the club.
The internship «also aims to promote the sport in the Algarve and in the City of Portimão and mainly in Vila de Alvor».
The event is supported by Camara Municipal de Portimão by the Algarve Judo District Association.
