Pedro Passos Coelho, president of the PSD, will be present at the Festa do Pontal, which takes place this Sunday, August 13, from 19 pm, at Calçadão de Quarteira.
The traditional party of the PSD, which marks the political rentreé of the Social Democrats, took place for the first time on August 29, 1976 in Pinhal do Pontal in Faro and counted with the presence of Francisco Sá Carneiro.
According to the PSD, "it was in the 80s, with Cavaco Silva, that the concept of rentrée was consecrated, with the leaders' speech being the moment when the themes of the next political year were launched."
In this year's edition, Pedro Passos Coelho will be for the eighth time as president of the PSD at Festa do Pontal.
