The “Major Hunting & Sport Fishing Fair in the municipality of Odemira”, which aims to promote these activities “with great dynamism in the municipality”, takes place on the 2nd and 3rd of September, at the Odemira Fair and Exhibition Park, in the village of St. Teotonio.
The event will have the presence of stands from companies and industry associations, an exhibition of pack dogs and trophies and hunting demonstrations with stop dogs.
Added to this is the largemouth bass fishing meeting, taking place at the Santa Clara-a-Velha Dam, and a fishing competition on the river Mira. The gastronomic component, children's entertainment and musical entertainment complete the program.
According to the Chamber of Odemira, the county has “extraordinary conditions” for the practice of hunting and fishing activities, already being “a favorite destination” for fans.
This event is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Odemira, the Parish Council of S. Teotónio and the Associations of Hunters and Fishermen of the Municipality.
