A light passenger vehicle crashed into the Ria Formosa after being involved in an accident with a motorcycle on the access straight to Praia de Faro, this Sunday, the 13th of August, in the late afternoon. The accident resulted in a minor injury.
According to the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro, the alert for the accident was given at 19:23 pm and various means of assistance were sent to the scene, including an extrication vehicle, “which turned out not to be necessary”.
There were four vehicles and 12 operational vehicles at the site, with resources from the Firefighters Sapadores de Faro, INEM and GNR.
The accident conditioned traffic on the access straight to Praia de Faro, already difficult, creating long lines on the road that gives access from the Airport of Faro.
