IKEA has launched, exclusively at the IKEA Loulé store, an electric bicycle and scooter, which can be tried out during the weekend in the covered car park of the commercial area between 10 am and 00 pm.
The FOLKVANLIG electric bicycle and the PENDLA electric scooter “are responding to current demands and contributing to more sustainable mobility”, says the Swedish group.
“IKEA Loulé wants to help most people to have a healthier and more sustainable daily life. Through innovative mobility solutions, such as the electric bicycle and scooter, we believe we are contributing to a positive impact on people and the planet», says Abdelhak Ayadi, director of IKEA Loulé.
According to IKEA, the bicycle, which costs 679 euros for IKEA FAMILY members, constitutes "a real alternative to the car, ideal for short and medium distances". The electric scooter costs 269 euros.
The bike has a range of up to 70 kilometers, does not emit noise and does not need maintenance. It is possible to purchase an extra battery to double the distance in autonomous mode.
For its part, the scooter “is one of the solutions to be considered for journeys in cities as it has a range of up to 20km, being capable of reaching 20 kilometers per hour”, says the Swedish group.

This range is available exclusively at the IKEA Loulé store. IKEA invites the entire community to get to know and experience, first hand, the new mobility solutions, on the 12th and 13th of August. To do this, just show up in the covered car park between 10 am and 19 pm.
