The inventory of the Historical Archive of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Faro, with documents ranging from 1512 to 1990, is now available online.
This is one of the «richest document collections in the county, consisting of four documental funds: Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Faro, Apostolate of Prayer, Hospital Board and Social Assistance Center of Faro», explains the Faro City Council.
The presentation of this archive concluded a work of about two years, carried out by the municipal archivist in collaboration with Maria Luísa Pereira, director of the District Archives of Faro, and which consisted of surveying the state of conservation and organization of documentation and subsequent organization, selection and identification.
