FACECO once again shows the best of the municipality of Odemira in three days of the fair

Livestock, agriculture, tourism, handicraft and an intense entertainment and gastronomy program are the strong points of another edition of FACECO – Cultural and Economic Activities Fair of the Municipality of Odemira, scheduled for 21st to 23rd July, in S. Teotónio .

This event, promoted by the Municipality of Odemira, in partnership with various entities, aims to «promote the territory, its products and activities, communities and local actors, enhance the business and cultural fabric and attract new entrepreneurs and investors to the council'.

According to the Chamber of Odemira, FACECO will be “a showcase of the capabilities of the territory of Odemira, evident in the various economic, social and cultural activities, represented by various exhibitors. An exhibition pavilion will be dedicated to local crafts, with artisans working live».

The presence of the livestock sector will once again be quite strong, with the holding of various exhibitions and competitions of various races.

As has been happening for several years, the Limousine Bovine Breed will be highlighted, as FACECO receives the 29th National Contest. The event is the meeting and business point between national and foreign breeders, in the municipality where the headquarters of the Portuguese Association of Limousine Bovine Breeders and the largest number of herds of the breed are located.

Also in the livestock sector, note for the holding of the 14th Regional Contest of the Holstein Frisia Bovine Breed and the 22nd Regional Contest of the Cabra Charnequeira. The 18th Honey Contest will also be promoted.

The entertainment of the venue and the shows are once again FACECO's main attraction, with many activities for all audiences, from music, theater, Alentejo sing, dance, sports and lots of children's entertainment.

In music, highlights include the performance of Aurea, Celina da Piedade and DJ Isabel Figueira, from the TVI program “Somos Portugal” and Rita Red Shoes.
