The 15th Mostra do Doce Conventual took place from the 19th to the 23rd of July, in Lagoa, with 9500 people «savoring the delights presented by the various exhibitors».
Among which were, for the first time, the sponge cake from Ovar “Flôr de Liz” and “Celestes & Companhia”, from Santarém.
"About 2000 people a day passed through the Exhibition, with a greater number of sales, with some exhibitors running out of their products".
The workshop “Pasteleiros de palm and a half” for children of all ages and the live pastry demonstrations, guided by Chef Carlos Silva and assistants, were the ex-libris of this edition, always with many interested parties, which led the organization to increase the number of sessions initially planned.
«The entertainment was always present – including the exhibition of an instrument little known to the public, the organ – cheering five pleasant nights with good music, in a relaxed setting, in which visitors could walk among the exhibitors or accommodate themselves in the various armchairs distributed throughout space», says the Câmara de Lagoa.
Visitors were able to enjoy «the sweets and liqueurs for all tastes, while enjoying the musical shows, designed to cover different audiences and tastes and in which “7 Skirts”, “Golden Years – Tribute Group to the 60s” participated. , Miguel Gameiro, Jorge Fernando and “Fado Lelé”».
Next year, the Câmara de Lagoa «hopes that the great influx of public will be repeated».
