Traffic on the highway, which connects Lisbon and the Algarve (A2), will be restricted between this Monday, the 8th, and Thursday, the 11th, due to pavement improvement and reinforcement works on the São Bartolomeu de sub-stretch Messines/Paderne and the repair of expansion joints near the Arade viaduct.

For today, between 13:00 pm and 16:00 pm, the left and central lane is cut, towards Lisbon/Algarve, between kilometers 213 and 215, in the area between Almodôvar/Gomes de Aires and Messines, Silves/Salir.

Also this Monday, between 16:00 and 19:00, there will be a cut of the right lane, in the direction of Lisbon/Algarve, on the same kilometres. Both traffic cuts are due to works on the sub-stretch.

Even so, the repair of the expansion joints next to the Arade viaduct is also making it necessary, today, to cut the right lane and berm, until 17:00, in the Lisbon/Algarve direction, in the area between Almodôvar/Gomes de Aires and Messines , Silves/Salir.

For tomorrow, the 9th, the work on the sub-stretch will cut the left lane, towards Lisbon/Algarve, between 8:00 am and 10:00 am, in the route between kilometers 226 and 228 (the area between Almodôvar/Gomes de Aires and Messines, Silves/ Exit).

Between 10:00 and 12:00, the right lane will be cut in the same direction and in the same area, while from 8:00 to 17:00 there will be a right and curb lane cut, in the Lisbon/Algarve direction, between kilometers 224 and 221, at zone between Almodôvar/Gomes de Aires and Messines, Silves/Salir.

In fact, until May 11th, this cut of the right lane and the berm, in these kilometers, will last.

Brisa says it thanks “in advance for the understanding and collaboration of motorists and hopes to contribute to reducing any inconveniences resulting from this operation, being certain that the possible inconveniences will be largely offset by the level of quality, safety and comfort resulting from a highway better adapted to the needs of those who use it'.
