the young journalist Pedro Lemos. Sul Informação, was awarded 2nd place in the Sport with Ethics Award for the Regional Press, promoted by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) and the Association of Sport Journalists (CNID), under the National Plan of Ethics for Sport (PNED ).

The awards ceremony takes place next Monday, May 22, at 16:30 pm, at the Sports Museum, in Lisbon, on the occasion of the CNID 2017 awards.

Pedro Lemos was awarded for his report «At Enxerim, gymnastics is (really) for everyone», which portrays the work of Grupo Desportivo e Cultural do Enxerim in adapted gymnastics, with special focus on the case of young Bruno Macedo.

Pedro Lemos, 21 years old, born in Faro and graduated in Journalism from the Lisbon School of Social Communication, he is a trainee journalist at the Sul Informação since September 2016. This is his first prize, worth 750 euros, «hopefully the first of many», commented Elisabete Rodrigues, director of our newspaper.

The Sport with Ethics Award for the Regional Press aims to encourage and reward the publication of written works (exclusively) related to Ethics in Sport in Regional Press Bodies, awarding, each year, the three works that present the best quality.
