The renewed Pediatric Permanent Care Service (SAP) of the Hospital Particular de Gambelas was inaugurated last Friday, May 12th.

With a space independent from Adult Care, «the service has gained more breadth, functionality and comfort, providing a beautiful waiting room and an observation room consisting of seven treatment stations: five beds and two armchairs», explains Grupo Hospital Particular of the Algarve (HPA).

At the ceremony, attended by Rogério Bacalhau, president of the Chamber of Faro, and Paulo Neves, vice president of the same municipality, Luís Gonçalves, coordinator of pediatrics, presented the history and evolution of the service.

«Since 2010 that the area of ​​maternal and child health in Gambelas has had a remarkable growth, carrying out more than 14 thousand consultations and more than 15 thousand urgent assistances per year, to which there are still about 600 hospitalizations", says the HPA group.

This event also marked the 21 years of this group.
