The 10 users of the urban vegetable garden in Ferragudo have been receiving training in organic farming, both theoretically and practically, in order to make better use of their plots and crop rotation.
The first training was given by technicians from the Regional Directorate of Agriculture, at Fontes, in Estômbar, with the presence of more than 40 users from the gardens of Ferragudo and Porches, followed, until the end of the month, by training in the gardens themselves. vegetable gardens.
Ferragudo's urban garden is a project that results from the delegation of powers with the Municipality of Lagoa. It has 10 spaces for cultivation, with irrigation in all of them and shelter for tools, having been implemented in a public space that was to be used.
The training actions are a joint initiative of the Municipality of Lagoa, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and the Parish Council of Ferragudo.
