The photo-documentary exhibition «Rota do Infante D. Henrique», opened its doors this Monday, April 3rd, and will be on display until the 28th, at the Interpretation Center of Vila do Bispo.
The exhibition, organized by the Association of Municipalities “Terras do Infante”, «has the main objective of making the citizens of the three municipalities and the visiting public aware of the main artistic, architectural and documental elements related to the times of Infante D. Henrique and the Discoveries in this part of the western Algarve».
Those interested will get to know the vestiges of the time of the Maritime Discoveries that can be found in places such as Raposeira, Budens, Vila do Bispo or Sagres.
The initiative arose in November last year, on the occasion of the 556th anniversary of the death of Infante D. Henrique.
There will also be contributions from students from the Kindergarten and EB No. 1 School in Vila do Bispo, who will present works on Infante, which were elaborated with curricular support initiatives from the City Council.
The exhibition, which has already been on display in Lagos, can be visited free of charge from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 15:30 pm.
