The 25 years of the degree courses in Tourism and Hotel Management, at the University of Algarve, will be celebrated on April 21, between 9:00 am and 12:45 pm, with a ceremony at the Superior School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism (ESGHT ), at the Campus of Penha.
In this session, the study “The profile of tourists in the Algarve in low season” will be presented by the students of the Tourism course. From 10:00 am, Nuno Fazenda, director of the Department of Management of Community Programs in Turismo de Portugal and a former student of the Tourism course, will present the “Tourism Strategy 2027 – National Tourism Strategy”.
At 10:30 am, Rui Maria, a former student of the Hotel Management course, will speak about “Hotel industry in the Algarve, the present and future perspectives”.
In addition to interventions by António Branco, rector of the University of Algarve, and Hélder Carrasqueira, director of ESGHT, the ceremony will also include the presence of Fernanda Rollo, secretary of state for Science, Technology and Higher Education, who will close the celebrations.
