Giões, Bentos and the town of Alcoutim are once again the stage for the 1st of May celebrations in the Alcoutenejo council, with sardines, dances and music.
In the village of Alcoutim, the party starts at 11:00 am, with a free sardine at Cais da Vila, and continues at 14:00 with a performance by the Ria Formosa Folklore Ranch. At 14:30 pm, there will be a ball with Sérgio Conceição.
In Bentos, in the parish of Vaqueiros, the party starts at 10:00 am, with ambient music and, half an hour later, the sardine starts, which lasts until 15:00 pm. From 11:00 am, free canoe trips are scheduled on the weir. At 13:00, the artist Vera Lucia takes the stage, who will return after 17:00, when the Toy concert ends.
For Giões, a social lunch is scheduled at 13 pm, followed by a matinee, at the headquarters of Associação Grito d'Alegria. Admission costs 00 euros (15 for members). The event counts on the animation of accordionist and vocalist Luis José. Enrollments are open until tomorrow, the 7,50th.
