The Sintrense band Them Flying Monkeys will return to the Algarve, this Saturday, for a concert at Bafo de Baco, in Loulé, at 23 pm, where they will present their debut album “Golden Cap”.

The band already knows the room, and even compares it to Lisbon's Musicbox. «We really enjoyed going to Bafo de Baco last year, the concert went very well. At the time we said that Bafo was the Musicbox of the Algarve, we made that comparison when we had not yet stepped onto the Musicbox stage and the impression remains the same», says Luis Judícibus to Musical|Sul Informação.

“Golden Cap” was presented on February 17th in the Lisbon room (of which the band members are regular customers).

The Loulé hall brought good luck to the quintet when, a year ago, they played in one of the qualifiers of the Festival of Modern Music in Corroios, a contest they won. The lead singer and guitarist of Them Flying Monkeys promises that Saturday's concert will be even better.

«Whoever goes to Bafo will attend a warm concert. We are looking forward to stepping back onto the stage of Bafo de Baco, who
says a lot. We really liked it when we were there last year and this year it will be even better, because we already know the public», promises Luis Judícibus.

“Golden Cap” was released on February 10th, but three of the tracks had been known by the end of last year. In its ten tracks the story of Molly is told and the two facets of the band come together, a darker and darker one, where noise and turbulent energy embody the figure of the evil witch who poisons and betrays and the other more scintillating and luminous, where melody and floating synthesizers lead Molly down the famous yellow brick road, taking her to the winged monkeys.
The songs accompany this imagery, alternating between tense and luminous environments: the counterparts consolidate.

The band started in 2011, when two of the members were still in high school, consolidates itself in 2014, with the entry of two more elements and 2015 marks the entry into the studio and the edition of the first record with five themes.

The fifth element is included and 2016 becomes a dream of «a crazy year» for Them Flying Monkeys: they win the EDP Live Bands, guaranteeing a place at Festival Alive in Lisbon and at Bilbao BBK Live, they are one of the winning bands from Vodafone Band Scounting, performing at Mexefest 2016 and on stage at Novos Valores da Festa do Avante.

Tickets for this concert cost 5 euros (with 3 euros consumption).

Them Flying Monkeys are:
Diogo Sá (guitar), Francisco Dias Pereira (keyboard), Hugo Luzio (drums), João Tomázio (bass) and Luís Judícibus (vocalist and guitarist).

Molly is the 2nd breakthrough theme for “Golden Cap”
