The Municipal Water and Waste Company of Portimão (EMARP) installed 130 telemetry water meters. The installation of these meters, which is part of a pilot project by the company, allows readings to be taken remotely and in real time.
According to EMARP, this system “allows for faster readings, verification of fraud and control of water losses”.
In addition, «the monitoring of water consumption, in these meters, allows an even more efficient management of water resources».
